Chaotianmen Square is located in the northeast of Yuzhong District, Chongqing, at the top of the Yuzhong Peninsula. It is located at the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River. Standing on the square, you will feel that the scenery of the two rivers and the three places is panoramic.
At the front end of Chaotianmen Square, the green water of Jialing River merges with the yellowish-yellow Yangtze River; to the east is the magnificent Chongqing Grand Theater in Jiangbei District; to the west is the brilliantly lit Nanbin Road in Nan’an District. The square is also a leisure place for local citizens. When the weather is good, many people fly kites here.
Today, the local government is preparing to make this one of the “new Chongqing” signs, an internationally fashionable area. The pier near Chaotianmen Square is the starting point for a night tour of the two rivers.
Many tourists will be really shocked by the spectacular view of Chaotianmen. What is shocking is not the dignity of the millennium ancient capital like Beijing and Xi’an, nor the pioneering fashion of Shanghai and Shenzhen, but the people, the living people themselves here. It interprets the most noisy and busy life, and also raises the human fireworks.
Chaotianmen is one of the nine gates in Chongqing. It is one of the nine tributaries of the Yangtze River. The Jialing River merges into the Yangtze River and runs towards the East China Sea. There are tens of thousands of people coming and going here every day, and the most spectacular sight is also the flow of goods and the sight of people busy for life. Walking from shoulder to shoulder, walking up and down the stone steps in Chongqing, and rolling equipment on the dock accompanied by the roar of the whistle. Chaotianmen Wharf is also the most important starting point for visiting the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. People sitting in Chaotianmen Wharf watching the bustling have a real feeling in the world.
